# A checklist for choosing a work assistant

Every assistant demos well. This guide gives evaluation teams a structured way to compare products on the things that matter after launch: answer quality, security, extensibility and total cost.

## What you'll learn

- A weighted scorecard you can adapt for your own evaluation.
- Test prompts that expose weak retrieval and permission gaps.
- The hidden costs that appear in year two.
